Kashmir Almanac sets no cookies, has no accounts, shows no ads and does not sell or share personal data. It remembers one setting in your own browser: that you closed the app banner. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which Cloudflare says uses no cookies, no local storage and no fingerprinting.
What we collect
- Nothing you type in. There are no forms, logins or comment boxes. The site search runs in your browser: it loads the site’s own list of guides and matches your words on your device, so what you type isn’t sent to us or anyone else.
- Visit counts. Cloudflare Web Analytics gives us totals such as page views, countries and referring sites. Cloudflare states that it does not use client-side state such as cookies or localStorage, and does not fingerprint visitors.
What your browser stores
If you close the Go Kashmir banner at the bottom of the screen, your browser stores one item for this site, ka-appbar, holding the date until which the banner stays hidden (three days). It never leaves your device, and clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it. Nothing else is stored.
What Cloudflare processes
To serve pages and block attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Links to other sites
Our guides link to official notices, news sites, Wikimedia Commons, Google Play and the Go Kashmir web app, which have their own privacy policies. The Go Kashmir app has no trackers, analytics or accounts, and keeps your plans on your own device.
